Mac charger not working suddenly

Jun 10, AM. I bought this specific charging cord from an apple store in Kamapala, Uganda. It worked fine when I bought it about a year ago.

I have checked all possible causes and everything checks out. They're expensive here. I guess the only side note would be that the cord is very dirty, but i assure you i have cleaned the magnetic connector. This is a fairly new computer as well, and has never had charging problems. Please help or I wont have a means of communication for the next 3 months! May 1, PM.
